Sounds like you are at the very beginning of a project. You might look at Science Buddies' plant science project ideas (https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... a=PlantBio) for inspiration, or try some gardening websites. Then, contact the experts if you have specific questions about how to succeed with your project. Also, please keep your posts in a single thread--it makes it easier for us to help you.

Good luck.

Hi!
If you could provide us with some more information about your project, it would be really helpful so that we can answer your question more specifically. In general though, this website may help-

Hope to hear from you soon, good luck!

The type of plant chosen for an experiment depends on the topic and the hypothesis you are testing.
The type of plant appropriate for a genetic study to determine if a gene is dominant or recessive is completely different for one used in a plant nutrition study.
Let us know what type of experiment you are planning and we can advise you on plant choice.

What plant(s) are you using? Different species of plants require different amounts (and frequencies) of water.

Dear Superhumanstrength,

I have merged all of your posts into a single topic--it will help the experts help you better. In the future please keep all of your posts in this topic (hit the 'post a reply' button rather than the 'start a new thread' button). At the moment, we need more information about what you're planning to do in order to help you. What question are you trying to answer with your experiment? What are you planning to do?
