How does cold weather effect plan growth?

If the plant was weak and dying, a cold weather could kill the plant. I'd freeze to death. If the plant was a sapling, then it'd need sunlight to photosynthesis and grow.

Hi bleach28,
Cold weather can certainly be a problem for plants, but many plants do well in cold weather. Here are some websites to help you get started with your research:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/gardening/basics/w ... ther.shtml
http://www.ces.purdue.edu/extmedia/HO/HO-203.html
http://www.iloveindia.com/garden/region ... arden.html
http://ag.arizona.edu/yavapai/anr/hort/ ... ecare.html
I think the last one may relate the most to your question. Good luck!
Heather

What exactly is your experiment? Some plants do not survive well in cold weather other plants are made for cold winter.
