Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

im an eight grader and need an invention. i was thinking of something simple and something like a household item...i am so confused...HELP!!!

The best way to think of an invention is to think of things you don't like to do (taking out the trash, for example) and then think of ways to make them easier or things that could do the task for you/more quickly. I would suggest just brainstorming a list on a piece of paper. It might help to think about some things that have already made the process easier (trash bags, for example!); you might be able to do something to make them even better.
