I went away on vacation, and left my bacteria in my incubator only to come back and find my science project dry and dehyrdrated. I need to innoculate a second petri dish using this bacteria, but I don't know how. Should I spray water on it? Condesation was inside the petri dish though.... I read somewhere about making bacteria soup to help revive dry and dormant bacteria. AHHHHHHHHHH! Help!!!!! :?

Hi sigs_411,

One possible answer, with directions, is at:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index ... 721AANYyUZ

Note this page suggests using sterile water. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_you_make_sterile_water suggests boiling the water for 10-15 minutes to make it sterile.

Please post again if this doesn't work for you or if you have any questions.

By the way, the question here looks eerily close to the one on answers.yahoo. Am I confused?
