Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

Hello,

This isn't really a science project, but it is an in class experiment, of sorts. My class is going to grow lima beans, and each group will choose a variable that they think will make the bean plant tallest. We also have to buy a pot.

If anyone could help me with any information they think is useful, such as what fertilizer or type of pot etc., that would be magnificent!

If you input "what makes a plant grow taller?" to both ask.com and answers.com you will see many variables to test. Note in the output from answers.com, you'll need to wade through many pages of wiki.answers.com entries. So, it's best to do this quickly.
