Heating Peanuts (Interview questions)

[Note: These "interview" questions are being posted on behalf of a parent/student preparing an 8th grade research paper.]
For background information, she will be working with heating different types
of nuts (unshelled, salted & unsalted). By heating the nuts, her project
hypothesis will possibly result in heating a small can of water.
Interview:
-What is your favorite thing to do in science?
-Why do you like science?
-My science project is on the Power of Peanuts. I will try to heat water
through the heat of a peanut - both salted and unsalted. Do you think that
peanuts or any other type of a nut will heat water?
-If yes, why do you think this will work?
-Do you think that the salt will affect peanuts being able to heat the water?
