Hi! I am a seventh grader, and I would like to ask a few questions on my science fair report. My topic question is "Can water float on water?" I would like to know how the density of water changes as a function of temperature and how the density of water changes as a function of dissolved salt? And what do those questions mean and how do they relate to my experiment? I would also like to why my topic is important. For example, if water didn't float on water then what would happen? How does water floating on water affect the oceans and the estuaries when the float into the oceans. Please reply ASAP, my project is due this Thursday! Thanks again! :D

Hi,
Have you tried using the Search Function yet? I've found two topics if you haven't yet done so, they may contain some information that you might need

(I haven't completely looked through them but gave them a quick peek, hope it helps!)
