Hi DJcurious,
Welcome to the Ask an Expert forums. What sort of help do you need in answering that question? There is an obvious answer, but I suppose there must be more to the question than that.

I suspect the question is this. Two water faucets, A and B, are on the same supply. I turn on A. What happens to the pressure ( or volume of water) at A when I turn on B. The answer to that question is: it depends on the details of the pipe system. If the main pipe is very large and the faucets are small, B might not have any effect on whats happening at A.

I hope you are getting an idea about how a simple sets of experiments can reveal something about the characteristics of the plumbing system hidden behind walls. Read up on flow through pipes.

Hi DJcurious,

I was curious which project you were doing. The only sciencebuddies project I could find that mentions "faucet" is

How Can Your Faucet Save Water?
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... p011.shtml

This doesn't sound like the right project. If that's not your project, do you have another pointer?
