I have found the conductance of the solutions. Now how do I determine the electrolyte concentration?

Hello and welcome to the forum.

This seems like an interrupted thread? Is there an experiment you are referring to? Anyway, the conductance of an electrolyte usually follows a linear relationship with concentration over a limited region. If you are within that region, you should get some interesting data. Here are a couple of links with information: http://www-ec.njit.edu/~grow/conductivity.htm - http://www.finishing.com/188/11.shtml.

Let us know some more information about your experiment and we'll try to help some more.

Hi mscience,
Welcome to the Ask an Expert forums. As Keith mentioned, we need more information about what you are doing. We have one experiment on our website that describes using electrical conductivity as a way to estimate electrolyte concentration:
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... p053.shtml
We also have several other experiments that mention electrolytes:
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... p002.shtml
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... p015.shtml
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... p029.shtml
Maybe you are working on one of these or a similar project? Please let us know and then we will be able to give more specific guidance for your particular experiment.
Thanks,
Chris
