Need Source of CO2

I am doing a science fair project in which I am testing which algae species (Chaetosphaeridium globosum, Botryococcus braunii, or Chlorella vulgaris) can remove the greatest amount of carbon dioxide from the air (carbon sequestration) and/or provide the greatest biofuel yield per unit biomass. In order to do this, I will build a series of photobioreactors in which to grow the different types of algae. In order to complete the first part of my experiment, I will need to introduce carbon dioxide gas to each photobioreactor; after a period of time, I will use a carbon dioxide meter to measure the amount of carbon dioxide remaining in each photobioreactor. However, I am unsure of how I will obtain this pure carbon dioxide gas. Can anyone please suggest providers/refillers of carbon dioxide gas?

Hey Brian!
It's your pal Drew!!
I saw your project idea and I was like WOW!! You are so smart.
Now about your need for CO2 sources...
I went to REI the other day and I saw they were selling 3-16 gram non-threaded CO2 cartridges. The items were near the bike section. The CO2 containers come with a tire inflator/or you can just by the cartridges by themselves. This could be useful in your experiment because you can always buy more of the CO2 cartridges. So look into this and tell me if it does or does not work.
By the way, I need help because you know Mrs. A rejected most of our experiments and I am still trying to find a new project idea. Since you are working with algae aka microbiology, my post before said I was interrested in microbiology. If you have any ideas, feel free to post a reply or call me.Thanks and good luck with your project!

HI,
Two other sources of CO2: Your local grocery stores may sell dry ice cakes (solid carbon dioxide). Local fire extinguisher stores probably have the ability to sell carbon dioxide in metal bottles with a valve. Suppliers of scientific gasses can sell you a lecture bottle of carbon dioxide. You can generate CO@ as needed with sodium bicarbonate and vinegar. You really should not have any problem getting it in any form you want it, when ever you want it.
Good luck!

Hey Bryan, it's Drew!
Thanks for the great idea that you posted an hour ago. I will definetely look into this experiment and design a proposal and procedures that will hopefully pass this time. Thanks for all your help. If I have any questions, I will make sure to contact you!Thank your dad for me.
Thanks a bunch!!
