Hi everyone,

I'm new to science experiments, and this year, for the first time, I have to create a science experiment on any topic for school. I have decided that investigating how IMing (on things like Yahoo Messenger and texts) affect today's communication. I have enough information to start my research paper, but I need at least 2 weeks worth of investigative experiments for my science journal. I would appriciate it if you could help me figure out how exactly to phrase the experiment, and what I could do.

Also, if you have any ideas on how to make my research paper statement better, that would be great. I'm also open to other project ideas, because, like I said, I'm new at this.

Thanks,
Leah Rae

Hi Leah,

From your post I suspect you would profit by checking out two Sience Buddy tools. The ScienceBuddies Project Guide:

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... ndex.shtml

And the ScienceBuddies Project Idea Guide

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... l?From=Tab

The first link talks about How to do science fair projects in general, including advice on how to write the research paper and present your results so you can get the most the most out of your work. The second link has lots of projects for almost every grade level, along with ideas on how to do them. You can either pick one of there projects and almost ude one as a recipe, or you can scan for an interesting idea, and then go off on a totally new creative ey of your own.

Regardless of the tack you take, the important think is have fun!

Best Regards,

Barrett Tomlinson
