what effect does using the non dominate hand versus the dominant hand have on a subject's score in rock band 1 for the wii?

i was also wondering about brain activity during video games, and brain activity while exercising. Also the effect of hand eye coordination on this subject.

thank you.

Hi snow13835,

In order to get the answers to these questions, you will have to do an experiment. We don't have the data for experiments.

As for hand-eye coordination and videogames, try a google search using key words. This article popped right up for me: http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news ... games.html
Try doing a similar google search with brain and video games and exercise.

Are there any more specific questions you have about your project? Like how to get started on the research paper or your question?

For information about how to write a question, hypothesis, background research, and the experiment and results check out our project guide here: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... ndex.shtml

If you need more help please reply to your original post and we will do our best to answer your questions.

Hi snow,

I merged your two posts since they relate to the same topic. Please keep all your posts in this thread (hit reply), and don't post a new topic unless it does not relate to your project. Thanks!

To answer your questions:

Search in google for "arm hand muscles" and you will get lots of websites that will tell you the muscles.

As for reaction time, check out this wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reaction_time

what is the relationship between hand dominance, hand eye coordination, and video games?

I don't know what the relationship is, you'd have to test this yourself by doing an experiment. You could see what other researchers have done in that area by searching for papers in google scholar.

But if you are talking about variables (independent, dependent, and control) then we have a great page that talks about what they mean.

Read this page: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... bles.shtml

After reading that page, if you still have any questions about how the variables relate to your project, then post back here.
