You can search Utube site for 3D spidrons and find some demonstrations of 3d deformations.
There are a lot of related origami sites that use mixtures of various polygons(not just triangles) to make space filling solid replicated structures. This is an extremely interesting subject area. I hope hou have lots of fun exploring it!

I read your forum and it seems like we're both doing spidron based sci fair projects. If you've figured out how to make a spidrohedron then do you think you could help me? I'm kinda desperate at the moment because mine aren't working out.
