Laser Security System.....help!!!????

Hello to whichever expert who may be reading this.i am an eighth grader and study in India.My science fair is coming up fast and i want too build a laser security system.I know that a light reluctance system is required for this but i don`t know how to make one.could you help me by telling me how to build a LASER SECURITY SYSTEM????Thank You!!

Wow, this sounds like a very ambitious project. Do you have any ideas on how to start? I found one example on the internet and it looks very complicated:
