How do you calculate Light Levels?

I was using the science project on calculating the moon light. It tells you to use a camera to find the light level. It is very vague to say the least. The camera will calculate light levels, but as an F stop and ISO setting.

Can anyone tell me how to use a camera to calculate the LV. Thanks. Tom

well, if you don't want ISO and other advanced settings, then you can try using a regular disposable camera (don't turn on the flash). What does LV stand for?
