How can I make a demonstration model for Echolocation

Hi!
My Science Fair Project is on echolocation, and I'm in desperate need of a demonstration model "how to" ideas.
I have three weeks left to figure out a way to make a model. Basically I'm trying to find the most effective and not so expensive way on making a visual moving model on how the sound would leave the dolphins melon and hit the fish then bounce back. I have already tried a long-spring to demonstrated the sound-wave but I am hoping to find something much more effective and visually accurate.
