Egeria densa: regeneration or fertilizer influence?

My initial project idea is how the cutting of the invasive water weed Egeria densa promotes spread and growth? But recently, my Biology teacher presented another idea that there is a big amount of fertilizer entering the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, which could have an influence on the growth of Egeria densa. My question is, which project idea would be the most generic, and could yield the most useful data?

Hey there!
I think that the first Egeria densa project you mentioned would be more "generic" if that is what you are looking for, although I think that you might be able to get more detailed results if you only look at the Sacramento area and focus lots of energy on that. Either way, I'm quite sure you will find many interesting (and useful) results so best of luck on your project!

Thank you, that clears up a lot, and helps me move on to the next step of my project.
