Hi, My name is Abby Kim.
I'm getting ready for the science fair, and I need some advise and need answers to some questions.
My topic for science fair is Music and its effect on memory.

1. I want some advise about this topic.
2. I want some "before" information about this.
About some brain information that' related to memory, what's brain's reaction when you're trying to memorize and you're listening to music, etc...

Thank you :D

Hi Abby Kim,

I am not expert on the interaction of music and memory, but here is a summary of the discussions on music and memory held on the Science Buddies Ask An Expert Forum over the last several years:

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... gclmby#960

I ssupect you need to do some research using your favorite search engine (Google, Bing, or other) on mechanisms of memory formation and the influence of music on memory. The only thing I have heard of is the “Mozart effect”, a largely discredited idea that listenin to classical music might enhance perormance on tests. Here is a sample google search to get you started:

Good luck!
