I am doing an invention for school about a gum that can taste exactly like a meal. Is it a good idea? I thought it would be good for people that want to lose weight and geared for people who want to stop smoking and not gain weight. Any advice you could give me would be appreciated.

Hello there,

Yes, your idea of creating a gum that tastes exactly like a meal sounds like a great idea! It can definitely help people trying to lose weight and whoever created it would surely make a fortune selling them! I looked on google to see if something like this has been created and it has not but there are experiments going on in England that are designed in creating such a gum...Here is the article: http://newsfeed.time.com/2010/10/11/wil ... -near-you/
I think you should do more research based on the information in this article and it can lead to some great results!!
Post if you have any more questions! :)

My teacher is requiring me to interview an expert in the field that have chosen for my science project( food science technician) Would you be able to recommend a person I can contact that would do this?

Hi!
There are so many people who can help you answer your questions. Definitely google some people in your area and try to set up an interview or email them and ask them a few questions! Maybe you can start at a local place that manufactures food products and work from there. Best of luck!
