Expanding my project

Last year I won the Middle School science fair with your project "Going Green As You Clean". This year I need to expand on this same project. My teacher suggested using medaka fish instead of worm, but I can't figure out a practical way to design this experiment since medaka fish need a filtration system, heater and lights. Any suggestion? I also considered using water fleas which seems to be easier. Which would be a better experiment for high school, in your opinion?

Based on the information you posted, I'm not sure I can answer your question. Could you explain a little more about the project you did last year? How did you use the worms? Presumably you want to do something similar with fish or water fleas this year. If you post more information, I'll help you as best I can.

Hi,
Expanding on a previous winning project is an excellent strategy. I think this is the project you did last year:

If you use fish or another vertebrate animal, you will need to get approval for your project before you start. So, working with water fleas that don't require filters or special equipment would help avoid these issues. You could do an excellent project with either fish or water fleas. What were you thinking about doing this year?
