Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

Hey,

I have a question on this project if I can explain it correctly. My project has the requirement to make this mass moving mobile with a 1 meter long length, and has to move solely by the force of a 1 kg weight. The weight will be suspended in the front of the car by a string that will start motion of a bottom axle that will make the car move. My only question is that I would like some ideas in order to make it, with its materials, and the size. As of now I have a vague idea of what I should do, but it would be nice to have others give me a few ideas on how to go on about this project.
