Hey,
I think you will elaborate more on what you want to do so the experts can provide their insight.
What are you trying to accomplish? I take it that you want to disinfect microbes.
Are you specifically looking at a certain environment or location? Or do you just
want to pick specific microbes (bacteria or viruses) and see how they respond to
various chemicals.
What is your disinfectant?
If you are not looking at a certain environment or niche to perform your study. I suggest
that you try to get a better idea of what microbe you want to study. Say you are curious
about bacterial colonization in your bathroom. You can do research and read previous literature
on what are the common bacteria that colonize bathrooms. Then you have to think about
the environmental conditions, why is growth supported? How can one mimic growth
on a petri dish? Then thing about positive and negative control variables.
But when you choose microbes, please ensure it is safe. Ask your instructor!
