My experiment Question Is What Is The Effect Of Different Amounts Of Motor Oil In Earthworm inhabited Soil?
I Am Going To have 3 Different Amounts. Could You Provide Some Guidance On How Much Each Of The Amounts Would Be?
~Thanks!

Marcia,
I suggest you go to Science Buddies Project Ideas and read about other projects done using earthworms. I also found several ideas by searching the internet using the search strand "earthworms and oil polluted soil". Good luck.

Also, you want to make sure that the amount of soil and number/kind of earthworms in each trial remain the same so that you have accurate results. Depending on what you choose for your amount/number, you can decide upon a reasonable amount of motor oil for each one...You want to make sure that you don't put too much either because that might just end up completely killing your earthworms so you want to be careful with that...
Hope that helped!
Post if you have any more questions...

This sounds like a great project!
I would suggest running some initial tests to determine what would be proper amounts of motor oil to use. Like the previous expert said, too much motor oil could end up killing all of the earthworms. Perhaps after you get your supplies in order, you can try like 5 or 6 levels of oil for a short time and determine which level would be the best for your experiment.

Hope this helps,
