I wasnt quite sure where I should be asking these questions, but I believe this is the right place.
I am doing an expirement that tests if music affects how accurately&fast a person types. As I was doing my research, I came across a few questions:

How does multitasking affect performance?
How do you learn to type?
How do people learn tasks that include hands?
What is multitasking?
What is distraction?

Thank you for your time.

Hi,

There is an excellent project described on the science buddies website that addresses your questions and gives good background information for this project:

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... p022.shtml

The project guide suggests giving a simple math test, but typing is also a good subject to study. Since typing is an individual skill, you would need to measure typing speed and accuracy of several individuals with and without distraction in order to measure the results.

Good luck!
