Dogs have dichromatic vision, which means that they can see in only two colors--blue and yellow.

I found a previous experiment that is similar to what you described where you test what colors dogs are most attracted to. Here's the project description: http://www.usc.edu/CSSF/History/2004/Projects/J1007.pdf

That is awesome thank you, i was also wondering if you could tell if i should use more than one dog because i have already started with my experiment but i do not have the resources at the moment to get another dog, so could you please tell me if it is worth looking to get another dog or if i will be fine with just one dog?

The larger the sample size, the better. If you can find a couple more dogs to test, that would be best because then you may notice the effect that the different color may have on the dog. (It is best to have a few to compare outcomes of your applied variable.) Are there any dog parks near you? I suggest that if possible as dogs are likely to be friendly. Good luck!

Hello,

This sounds like a great experiment! Like the previous expert said, the larger sample size the better. How about asking friends or family members if you can use their dogs in your experiment?

Here is a link to a site about dog vision: http://www.uwsp.edu/psych/dog/LA/DrP4.htm

Hope this helps,
