HELP - Interview Qs on removal of oil from water
Posted: Wed Feb 02, 2011 9:59 am
Hi, I am Elizabeth and I need to conduct an interview for my Science Fair Project at All Saints Catholic School.
My topic is: "The Best Method To Clean Earth’s Waters After Oil Spills"
My hypothesis is: "If I use hair, cotton, sand, dish washing detergent, and cat litter to assist in the removal of oil from fresh water and salt water…Then the hair will assist in removing the greatest amount of oil from the water…Because of oil’s great attraction to hair and hair’s adsorbent nature.
I need to interview an expert. Could an expert please answer my questions below?
a. When did you first learn about this topic?
b. Could you please tell me what motivated you to study the topic?
c. What are some of the most important things you have learned about this topic?
d. Why do you think this topic is important, useful, or interesting?
e. What practical applications have you found for this topic?
f. In your opinion, what is the best wasy to remove oil fromwater after a spill?
g. Do you think that some removal methods cause more harm than good? If so, which ones?
Thank you in advance for helping me with my project! After answering my quesions, could you send an e-mail to my mom verifying that you answered my questions? Let me know if I can get her e-mail to you because I don't think I'm supposed to post it.
Thank you very much,
Elizabeth
