I have this Science Fair Project and its due in 3 days and I can't find any reserch on It like how does This and this happen and so on. Its called Magic Garden.
Magic Garden
This used to be called a coal garden, but chunks of brick, porous rock (not stick ones), or peices of synthetic rubber, or cellulose sponge work just as well if not better. Songe is is fine because you can cut it in to any shape you wish. Wash peices of brick and rock until they are thoroughly wet. If you are using sponge, wet and wring out. Place in a shalow GLASS bowl, do not use mtal of any kind. It will be spoiled. If there any little peices add them too. Into a glass jar, put 4 tablespoons of water, 4 tablespoons of laundry bluing and 4 tablespoons of ammonia. Pour this over the wet rocks, being sure to dampen all of them with them with this mixture. Put a few drops of food coloring, one or more colors, and a few drops of bluing on one or two of the rocks. Now take $tablespoons of salt and sprinkle it evenly over the chunks of brick, rock, or sponge. In a few hours , snow flakes strt to form. After two days add two more table spoons of water and ammonia being very carful not to pou it on any of the crystals. This will make it start growing again. repeat this until its the size you want, Do not let any of the crystals fall on furniture or It will reck the furniture. If any of the crystals grow over the bowl, wipe off with damp facial tissue. Nothing will grow without old fashion bluing.
