Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

I was assigned to do an egg drop project that is due this coming Monday. I am only allowed to use 1 Klenex Tissue, and an unlimited amount of plastic drinking straws. I have drawn several designs for the straw capsul and built many also, but none have succeded in keeping the egg from breaking! Please help!

Have you analyzed the failure mode of your designs? Are your structures coming apart? Is the egg escaping your structures? Is the egg breaking in your structure?
