Is it a valid science fair project?

I am a 10th grade student and i have planned to go for a science fair. I love Physics. The science buddies project about Refractive index of a liquid and its relation to sugar content was very interesting. I have now thought about a project idea which is based upon that very project...
"Is the Refractive Index of a liquid directly proportionate to its conductivity?"
In other words,
"Is the Refractive Index of a liquid inversely proportionate to its resistance?"
Do you think that it is a valid science fair project idea ????
Please anyone help me out with this !!!!!
