Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

I am doing this project for my science fair. For my Review of Literature Paper, I'm required to have 2 results of prior research done on the project. Since it's on this website, I'm sure there has been prior research. However, I can't seem to find any. Could anyone send me a link or reference?

Also, what would the independent and dependent variables be? I know what both of those are, but I'm having the hardest time trying to label it because the experiment is basically a twist of another.

Yes, there has been prior research on the Stroop effect. You may be having difficulty because most of the references are in the older literature. Here is an article that you might have access to that includes several references in the bibliography

The purpose of doing a literature review is to see what has been done on a topic in the past so you can design the best possible experiment.

The independent variable would be the color/identity of the word, and the dependent variable would be the time required to read the word. There are some variations suggested in the science buddies project, such as warping the words, so let me know exactly which experiment you are planning to do.
