hey everyone,

i have a question about the topic of my science project. Ive been told not to do projects regarding th effect of color on short-term memorization, so me and my partner have come up with a few alternate solutions. We've decided to test the effect that music and sounds has with memorizing images over a 30 second time period. Now knowing our topic, we are having trouble coming up with a problem statement. Our idea right now is "Music and Sound's effect on short-term memorizaton." If you have any suggestions on a better problem, we'd really appreciate it. Thanks 8)

Hi NYJfootball17.

I did help a Project Team last year with same type Project,
but did not get final results feedback from their Science Fair,
so I hope this information helps you.

This Team used this Question and had lots of Research from
the Internet mostly.

Their Question:
"How does Music help or aid the Memory Process?"

This is one of those Projects that will probably be difficult
to prove with the Experiment but it has been done according
to Research.

Have you tried any of these Google Keyword Searches yet?:
"music and learning"
"music and memory"
"music and the brain"

"mozart effect"

Try these same Searches without the quotation marks,
and good luck in finding what is useful.

There are some more similar projects on the Public Forums,
so you could also Search the Science Buddies Forums
for the same keywords from above.

Let us know if this of any help and how we can continue to help you.

Good Luck!
