Hi,

Is hydrogen a good fuel? Yes, in the sense that it generate a lot of energy per unit weight, and its combustion product (water) is not harmful to the envirionment. Is it practical? A lot of people are studying this really hard right now, and many people think the answer is yes.

You might want to read this Science Buddies Project Ideas for more information:

Is biodiesel better than hydrogen? I am unsure whether it is better(it depends on what you mean by better), but biodiesel seems closer to being used in everyday vehicles. I have recently seen where biofuel has been approved for use in airplanes, and a number of flexible fuel regular cars can burn it today. The combustion products of biodiesel are as bad as petroleum based fuels, much worse than hydrogen, for the envirionment.

You can find out more by doing your own research using Google(www.google.com) to search for biofuel, biodiesel, hydrogen fuel or other relevant terms.

Best regards,

Barrett L Tomlinson

sir,
by which process we can get hydrogen and how can we transport and store it?
what are combustion products of biodiesel?
is hydrogen fuel costlier than biodiesel?

Yes Hydrogen can be Used as a cooking fuel it is also a cleaner fuel than propane. Also did you know that you can use propane to run your vehicle? Although I have seen hydrogen stored in a compressed tank. If you go to YouTube (http://www.YouTube.com) you can search a video made by MythBusters and they show a Hydrogen tank and the hydrogen being fed straight into the carburetor of a gasoline vehicle. My dad and I are doing a project to see if we can store hydrogen in a Oxygen tank Used for diving. If you would like to know more about it send me a message.

so how do you think we can use hydrogen as cooking fuel?
means the material through which the container will be made?
how will it be transported to homes ? etc.
