Hi. Are you interested in finding out whether sodium lauryl sulfate is soluble in water? If so, I would look at the chemical structure of the compound. Then review solubility rules. Does this answer your question?

Hi Brianna16,

You chose a very interesting compound. As it turns out sodium lauryl sulfate is everywhere--in your shampoo and your soap. That's the compound that creates bubbles and foams up when you wash your hands or your hair. To learn more about why that happens, you should definitely look up its structure and its MSDS sheet (for its chemical properties), which can be found on www.sigmaaldrich.com.

Hoep that helps!
