I am helping my son with his science project and since I have been out of school for so long I am having trouble with the hypothesis. How do we come up with a hypothesis for this project. I am going to purchase the project kit but want to make sure it has everything we will need also. Please help!!!!

Hi rgv,
You have many different options depending on your child's interests. One option would be to hypothesize on which fruit or vegetable would provide the most power or make the longest lasting battery. You could also hypothesize on which fruit of vegetable would require the smallest amount to serve as a battery. The science fair project guide on the sciencebuddies site provides some good detail on making a hypothesis and how to determine controlled and uncontrolled variables. Good luck!
