Just curious, could you build a machine that washed and dried clothes?

Hello,
You most likely could create a machine that washes and dries, but for a science fair, you might want to try building a crude version of a washing machine, that drains, and then a hair dryer comes on, or something like that. It sounds easy if you have the technology.
