It is wonderful that you are getting involved with a science fair project. You project sounds very interesting. The best way to begin is to just do some basic Internet searches. Wikipedia can be a good place to start. If you scroll to the end of the Wikipedia articles there are link to sources where you can get more information. Another website that I lie to use is How Stuff Works. Although their articles can sometimes be a little bit more technical. Universities also are a good resource. If you search for something on Google and see a web page that ends in .edu this is a good bet. Try performing a search using key words like obesity, appetite, and decisions. Once you start reading you’ll get more ideas for things to research.

Before you tart searching on the internet read the post about internet safety.

The Stroop effect shows how conflicting information can slow down a person’s reaction time. The classic example is of saying the colors of words out loud. In the first set the color of the ink and the color spelled out by the word are the same. People can read this set pretty fast. In the second set the ink color and the color words do not match. People read the second set much slower. Try this website they have a really fun tutorial that will time you as you try to read the words.
