Hi,

I responded to the title part of the inquiry in your original topic. If you have any other questions, please post in the original topic, not in this one, to avoid confusion.

Thanks.

I disagree with schiencebuddies, but I may be wrong because it seems to me that your independent variables are the pesticides, fertilizer and tap water, because the independent variable is always the variable that you change, and your dependent variable would be plant growth. If you use the title "the effects of ________ on __________," the independent variables must go in the first blank because you are measuring the effects of the independent variables on the dependent variable. Or, in other words, you are testing what happens when you change the things you put into the water given to the plant on the growth of the plant. So, you could use the title "The Effects of Pesticides, Fertilizer, and Tap Water on Plant Growth." I wouldn't include anything about the reason why you are conducting the experiment (to see if plants can determine water quality) because you should include it in your Statement of Problem, Hypothesis, and Conclusion.
