Does a plants watering cycle or rate affect how fast the plant grows? I need some information on how the amount off water and light energy you give a plant can affect it. Given that the Independent variable is the amount of water each plants get for my science topic. Thanks

All life needs water to grow. A basic search from Yahoo gave some answers concerning plants including the following link that discusses giving too much, too little, or just the right amount of water. Your question is best answered by experimenting with actual plants. A basic design could involve having several of the same type of plants preferably of the same age so that you do not add any other variables, and water them each differently but in a consistent manner and measuring their growth. The rate of growth to the amount of water given is a expressed as a percentage calculated by dividing the amount of growth by the amount of water.
