Does age or gender affect a person's relative pitch?

Welcome to Science Buddies! You have a very interesting question. Can you tell us more about what you are asking? Do you need help designing an experiment or finding background information? If you give us more specifics, the experts will better be able to help you.

I need help finding background information. What I'm trying to ask is does, lets say, if you gave someone a key to sing in, will a male's voice affect the pitch? Or, would a child or an adult be more likely to hit the correct pitch?

I think the likelihood of hitting the correct pitch will have something to do with experience as well. However, your idea is similar to this Science Buddies project:

Take a look at that, as it will help you with your background research, and post again if you have more questions!
