There are several project ideas on the Science Buddies website that deal with the Stroop Effect. Reading the introductory material of these will give you more information, and each contains a bibliography that will lead you to even more information.

To answer your questions, you will need to do some research and reading. The Stroop Effect is very popular as a research topic, and I believe you will find a number of readily available sources of information when you begin your search.

If you have specific questions about the material you are reading, post to this same thread, and Experts will try and assist you.
