Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

Hey all,
I've got a chemistry assignment where I have to conduct an investigation to evaluate the real life applications of redox reactions. My available topics are: metal erosion, electrochemical cells or batteries, electrolysis and redox titrations.
My main interests in science are in biology and conservation biology, but can anything think of something cool for me to investigate?

Based on your description, may be you can try to investigate some kind of alcohols based experiment / investigation. Here's a lesson from Khan academy that may be helpful.
