Where do you modify the algorithims in IDLE?

Assuming you are referring to our password hacking project, make sure you read ALL of the project's procedure:

and read the comments in the crack_password.py file that you download. There are four algorithms in the program labeled Methods 1 through 4, which you will see in the comments.
This is an advanced programming project, so if you do not understand any of the code or the comments, it might be better to start off with a simpler project. We have many other computer science and cybersecurity projects that you may be interested in:
