How would you have an expierment for this could you help me understand this a differnt way?

If this experiment is what you're referencing, then, as the abstract mentions, one possible experiment could be using a rating index (you can try this link, or find an index of your choosing online since the Monterey Bay Aquarium link doesn't work:
https://www.mcsuk.org/goodfishguide/search) to determine how sustainable a type of fish is. You could visit a local fish market and see how sustainability varies based on: fish species, the type of fish (oily, flat, white, shellfish), capture method, etc., and even check how all these variables affect the sustainability rating. Compare these variables to see what factors have the most "significant" effect on sustainability.
