I am doing this raspberry pi project electric piano with lights. I bought raspberry pi 4 model from Amazon as it is not available on science buddies. Can somebody help me in setting up the circuit with gpio pins so I can work on scratch and get the leds light up.

TIA

Hi - the SparkFun "Pi Wedge" part that provides a breakout with labeled pins is also available for purchase separately:

https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13717

If you want to follow our diagrams exactly, you could purchase one of those.

If not, then you can use male-female jumper wires to connect directly to the pins on the Raspberry Pi. Unfortunately those pins are not labeled, but you can find label diagrams like this one online:

https://www.raspberrypi.com/documentati ... ry-pi.html

Also note that the Scratch instructions in our project are for the desktop version of Scratch 2. Scratch 3 is now available for the Raspberry Pi and may come preinstalled on your SD card depending on where you bought it:

https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/scratc ... pberry-pi/

If you want to use Scratch 3, it should be very similar to Scratch 2, but you can follow the tutorials here to learn how to use the GPIO pins:

https://projects.raspberrypi.org/en/pat ... spberry-pi

If you want to use Scratch 2 but you have a newer SD card where it did not come preinstalled, you will need to install it manually by opening a terminal and typing

sudo apt-get install scratch2

Hope that helps!
