There is no one scientist credited with finding out that Alka-Seltzer dissolves in water, though Mikey Wiseman led Alka-Seltzer's development. Alka-Seltzer will dissolve in water at any temperature, but if you try putting one in cold water and one in hot water, you will see that the tablet in hot water will dissolve faster and with more bubbles.
