Is it safe to use Staphylococcus epidermis bacteria (non-pathogenic). My daughter wants to test dog saliva to see if it kills bacteria. any help would be appreciated she is in 7th garde

Hi Fran,
I think you mean "Staphylococcus epidermidis"? Use of any active biological agent requires some safety precautions and sometimes requires filling out a risk assessment for use in a science fair. Here is a sample risk assessment for S. Epidermidis.
