Astronomy Science Fair Project Ideas

Post by Ceili »

Hello!

I'm in 8th grade and I would like to do a science fair project under Space Science. I love astronomy and one day I'd like to work for NASA. I also am good at math. I've found that it's a bit hard to find projects to test in astronomy. One year I observed sunspots over time, and showed how you can prove the sun rotates. This year I was thinking about doing a project on parallax. I have a basic idea of parallax, but I need help on figuring out a question. If anyone has any suggestions on a project involving parallax, or on any project in the field of astronomy, I would love the help!

Thanks much!

Hi Ceili, Have you taken a look at the Science Buddy project ideas?

There is a section on astronomy, and one particular project that deals with parallax:

Does that give you any ideas?
