I'm not really sure what you are asking here, and again, this question doesn't sound like a science fair project. If it is not for your science fair project, why don't you try searching for the answer yourself. I like starting at the wikipedia; read about skin. Once you've read that entry, you should be able to figure out how to ask your question more precisely to get a good answer. try using google to answer the question.

If this is for a science fair, I recommend you still do the reading I recommended above. We mostly help you figure out how to test your hypothesis or control variables, not do your backgrouond research. If you are having problems with experimental desing, post back here with your reearch question, your hypothesis, and as much detail as you can about your project.
