How do you test for the amount of Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) in various fruit juices such as apple, white grape, pineapple, and cranberry juice?
Why can't the human body absorb iron from foods/supplements after drinking beverages such as coffee, milk, or tea? Is this because of the beverage's lack of Vitamin C, or is there a substance in the drink that destroys iron?
Thank you very much for your help, and I look forward to hearing from you again ASAP!

Vitamin C can be measured in a variety of ways. The most common way is to perform a titration. Your teacher sould have one realdily available; its a pretty standard protocol.
Nutrient absorption in mammals is not my particular area of experitize, but I do not think that vitamin C aids in nutrient absorption. I know that the iron is not destroyed persay, but it may be converted into a form that is not able to be used by the body. I will have someone with a bit more knowledge come along and help you some more.
Thanks,
