Hello! I have a quick question, do you think that if use diferent liquids other than water it will change the tone or pitch?

Hi Ashley,

I don't know the answer for sure, but I think it depends on the density of the liquid, so if its density is much different than water, then I believe you will get a different sound.

According to http://recipes.howstuffworks.com/question603.htm , when you rub the top of the glass, the sound wave you are making causes the water to move with it, thus altering the pitch of the sound. Thanks and I'm glad you like the site, please let us know if you have any other questions
